About the journal
Acta Silvestria is a scientific journal of the Hugo Kołłątaj University of Agriculture in Krakow. It is a continuation of the yearbook published by the Branch of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Krakow titled Acta Agraria et Silvestria ser. Silvestris, issued continuously since 1961. In 2019, the title of Acta Agraria et Silvestria ser. Silvestris has been changed to Acta Silvestria. Back issues of the annals, beginning from 2005, are available in the form of PDF files on this website, in the tab Previous issues.
Acta Silvestria publishes original scientific and review papers in the discipline of forestry sciences, and in the areas related to the forest environment in the field of biological sciences, Earth science, and environment science.
Papers can be published in Polish and/or in English. Full texts published only in Polish are accompanied by abstracts and summaries in English. The journal is published as a yearbook. The papers are reviewed in a double-blind review process (i.e. the authors of the publication and the reviewers do not know each other’s identities).
The main (primary) version of the magazine is the paper version.
Acta Silvestria is a journal with open and free access to the full texts of all publications via the website. All articles are made available under the Creative Commons CC BY-NC-ND license (attribution - non-commercial use − no derivative works).
